The A4950 controls DC motors via Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), delivering a peak output current of ±3.5 amps and operating at a voltage of 40 volts.
This product provides input terminals to control the speed and direction of DC motors through externally applied PWM control signals. It adopts an internal synchronous rectification control circuit to reduce power consumption during PWM operation.
Internal circuit protections include overcurrent protection, ground short or power supply short of motor pins, thermal shutdown with time delay, VBB undervoltage monitoring, and cross-current protection.
The A4950 is available in an 8-pin SOICN compact package with an exposed heatsink (suffix LJ). This package is lead-free, and the lead frame features 100% matte tin plating.
